It has been a VERY long time since we have been to Universal....and we have never been with our kids. We have 3 boys ages 7,4 and 7 months. While we don't expect fo find anything that caters to the 7 months old, I would like to get and thoughts for attractions that my 7 and 4 year old would enjoy at Universal an IOA. My 7 year old tends to be timid but my 4 year old more aggressive.

Any thoughts on rides, attractions or restaurants? We are going over Thanksgiving week.

At US they'll probably enjoy ET, Fievel's Playland, Woody Woodpecker Roller Coaster, Shrek, Jimmy Neutron (they even have stationary seats for the baby), Curious George's Playland and the Barney Show. At IOA there's Red Fish, Blue Fish, the Cat in the Hat, the Carouseussel (sp?), If I Ran the Zoo, the Discovery Center and the playground/jungle gym area near Jurassic Park. We will be arriving the Friday after Thanksgiving and can't wait. We have 3 DDs 9, 7 and 4. Have a great trip!

Thanks!! It is great to hear that Jimmy Neutron has stationary seats for little ones..that will come in handy. Any thoughts on Superhero Island? My 4 year old is a huge Superhero fan but I'm afraid by what I read that is is mainly big rides. Do you know if they have superhero characters available for pictures or anything like that?

Thanks again and enjoy your trip as well!!

Superhero Island is great. There is a Superhero Parade daily and then the characters pose for pictures. If your 4 year old is adventurous (and tall enough) he can ride Spiderman. My youngest DD was 3 on our last trip and just tall enough for Spiderman. She LOVED it. There's also a tea-cup type ride called Storm Force Acceleration (I think) that my DDs love. Of course, there's the Hulk and Dr. Doom for grown ups, which makes Superhero Island one of our favorite places at IOA.

well... if your kids like water rides be sure to take them on bilge rat barges. if your kids arent up to riding bilge... then take them to a watering hole where they can soak people on the ride. :teeth: i used to love soaking people when i was littler. well good luck and i hope that both you and your family have an amzaing adventure!
