Universal = White Trash

I think you're right. Do I have a preference? Sure do but I would never battle on it. I would love to take my family to US/IoA and still have time to everything in Disney. Must ... break ... away ... someday!

I'm surprised this thread hasn't gotten locked up yet. But it proved a lot of fun for me to today. What's the chance that I venture over to this board to ask a question and stumble on this first? Oh joy for me! :lmao:

Do make the effort to visit, it is worth it.

Personally I don't subscribe to the Disney versus Universal battle that seems to affect some people. I enjoy both parks for different reasons and because we spend two weeks in Orlando we split our time between the two parks and visit Seaworld.

I never got that one either. I love some things about all the parks and I don't like some things about all the parks. I've seen all kinds of people at all the parks. I've seen rude, horrible, and drunk people at almost all the parks (the worst was Epcot, but that doesn't color my view of the place).

Some people seem to need to confirm that "see, I wasn't missing anything by not going to Universal" by putting it down. Whatever. I'm sure I could come up with enough pictures to describe WDW in exactly the same manner as the OP, but what is the point? It doesn't change the parks. It doesn't change anyone else's opinion. I would just make me look mean-spirited. :rolleyes1

Some people feel they are being disloyal to Disney if they go to Universal. Both places are great fun IMO

This whole thread is pretty funny, by the way. :rotfl:

I think a more accurate representation would be Universal = Young Urban Professionals.

I'm personally careful with my hard earned money. I work a tech job and understand how to stretch and save. I get more for my money at Universal than at Disney and have a more entertaining and more upscale experience.

Plus I'm not the type of person who wants to sacrifice a week at a theme park that I've saved all year for to just stay at a value resort. I'm a busy person and enjoy my weekend trips at onsite resorts much better, thank you very much.

:lmao: OK. You're welcome.

Twister was very good, as was Shrek. Men in Black was dated and a waste of time.

Scratch that, I just re-read this part of the original post. The original poster is on drugs.

Twister is good but Men in Black is dated? Are you kidding me?

I like you.

I like you.

Thanks!

Again, I'm not trying to pick a fight with the Disney crowd. I drop my share of coin at that park too (my sister and my girlfriend are addicted). That being said, I just feel like I get more of a "vacation" out of my Universal trips.

While I am on the subject, for those of you who are not particularly intelligent, I would like to point out the universally accepted signs of ignorance (in no particular order). Tattoos, wife beaters or tank tops, jean shorts, cigarettes, chewing gum, stretch pants, T-shirts with stupid slogans on them, missing teeth, don't wash your hands after using the bathroom, wear your baseball cap sideways or backwards, have your child on a leash, wear tight shorts and a bikini top while you are over weight, don't know the difference between "your" and "you're" and mullets. All of which were in tremendous supply at Universal. If you fall into any of these categories then you are a disgusting, ignorant loser, and a proud typical American. Congratulations.

You have got to be the world's most judgemental person.

Thanks!

I don't think you're (or is it "your" ;) ) trying to pick a fight at all. I think everyone has their own opinions on which park, if any, they prefer. No one needs to tell anyone which is better. Do I prefer Disney over Universal? Heck yeah. Do I think that my opinion is better than others? Of course I do. No, just joking. I specifically came over to this board to ask about Universal and I totally value anyone/everyone's thoughts, even the overweight, tattooed, pierced, wife-beater's clothes wearing people! :rolleyes1

Wait a minute, I take back what I just said. I DO NOT value Troy's opinions.

Hey! We could make it an award! Anytime someone is being a judgemental, self important, holier than thou (I'll stop there)... we could give them a Troy.

It's a thought. Discuss it amongst yourselves. popcorn::

Has this guy responded to anything? This is so over the top that I can't take it seriously or go through the trouble of reading the whole thread. I sent him an unfriendly PM and will just gladly add him to my Ignore list. I doubt that he'll be back though which makes you wonder why he posted these outright lies.

No, he has not responded. I even called him out when I saw his light was on but then it "mysteriously" went off.

It certainly was fun posting here today though!

= THE TROYAWARD ::yes::

Gosh, I just don't know where I fit in here. I am overweight, enjoy an occasional alcoholic drink (i.e. wine), and am highly educated; however, I don't smoke, I don't have tatoos, and I definitely don't wear wife-beater shirts. I am really stumped as to whether I should visit Universal now. Hmmm.. what's a girl to do?

I can't help you with your other two shortcomings, but I will volunteer to smoke enough for both of us the next time I'm there. I don't wear wife-beaters and I have no tattoos (but I am thinking of getting one for my 50th birthday this year!). Since I'm only slightly overweight at 130 pounds, I guess I'll just have to smoke like a fiend all day. That's okay though, I'll take one for the team! Just so all you non-smokers came still come in.

And I will help ya out with missing teeth and a plus I have more to be pulled :lmao: :lmao:
