Like was mentioned before, the times can be different when you go and the only way to know is get a park map when you get there. The hourly shows are the Marvel Superhero parade. But you can see Spiderman at the Alterniverse store most of the day. Go to the back of the store and they should have the tmes he is signing autographs and pictures that day.

thanks a lot phamton, that is what I wanted to know because I don't have any maps with me. Now I know why I missed the heroes. I didn't get to the marvel land until 6:00pm. That is because I traveled with a lot of dead weight. Next time I will go with just a few friends.

I suppose all rides must break down at somepoint, weve been stuck on space ship earth for an hour, haunted mansion for 20 mins, its a small world for a while and on Jurrasic park our boat crashed into the stopped one in front of us as we passed through the gates

How many of you people think its true that Disney manages to keep there rides intact while Universal rides keep shuting down?

I certainly would not make that assumption on the basis of one ride on one trip breaking down.

My own experience has actually been that more rides break down at Disney parks. But again -- I would not make any general statement based on my personal and very anecdotal experience.

Personally, I'm glad Universal -- and Disney -- take extra precautions, even if it means we miss a ride that day (or that trip). There's always all the other great attractions! (although I have to admit, missing Spidey would be the toughest).

Ok - i am getting NO work done today!! I always drop off these boards not long after my Orlando trips and then start ramping back up when it starts getting warm and we are booking the hotel. I get so addicted and i am sure my company's bandwith is not thrilled with my addiction!!!


That being said - i know this perk is only available when you stay onsite but i am suprised this has not been mentioned yet. The main difference between a Breakdown at Disney and a Breakdown at Universal is.....

FOTL. At universal - if the breakdown happens before you are on the ride, you can get out of line and do something else!! IMO, if you have FOTL you don't feel so bad leaving and coming back because you are not talking about starting your 60 minute wait over again. Just my opinon though. We have experienced breakdowns in both parks.

Last year i swear the mummy broke down a million times. Just gave us an excuse for more beer at Finnegans!

I remember being on Jaws in 2004 and it broke down. They gave everyone a ticket to get to the front of the line for some other time during the day.

That would be cool. They definitely did not do that with us last year with The Mummy - but we were in the fastpass line.

We had two Mummy breakdowns in one day recently...did not ruin the day at all! Was actually kinda interesting because one was in the first room where the skeletons pop up and one was in the fire room. Of course, I am the sort of sick puppy who used to wish Batman at Six Flags Great America would break down on the lift hill so I could be walked down and see how they do it with a suspended coaster. I was there once when the lift hill motor died and they had to walk people off, so I got to see how they do it (I was jealous!).

I've lost count of the times I've either been on or seen Test Track break down.
