I am planning 7 nights at HRH the end of April 2012 with 2 boys 9and 13. I am
considering club level, I want to build in at least 2 days to just hang out and enjoy the pool. I am figuring club level about $100 more a day? Is this justifiable? Also will 2 days at each park be too much? I have been told you dont need a whole week at Universal. We will not have a car. My husband of all people wants to go back to disney but I want to try something new. So I need all the advice I can to make this a great trip.

We have spent a week at Universal and had plenty to do! You will love it. The resorts are fabulous and you will be able to enjoy the parks and the resorts with a weeks stay. I personally have done club level at RPR, and it was nice, but it isn't worth it in my opinion. It is more than $100 per night and for that amount you can easily buy food at The Kitchen or Citywalk or the parks and still have money left over. Buy an AP to get the hotel discount and food discounts throughout the parks. You just need one AP to get all the discounts! Have fun, and enjoy your planning!

Your boys will love the Universal parks. They are really geared towards boys. I wouldn't suggest club either. There is a lot of food at all the resorts that make Club really not necessary and quite expensive.

Thanks so much for responding, I dont know if I am doing this right or I need to post a new question, but here goes. Can you give me examples of Anual Pass discounts? Are there any evening fireworks or parades comparable to Disney I noticed the Mardi gra but we will not be there at that time. We really love the Disney Dining mostly that you dont have to keep taking out your wallet. I did see the in park dining plan put that seems odd, you dont even get a drink?

Go club....especially for the kids..don't knock yourself out, enjoy the parks for half a day/then spend the rest of the day enjoying the relaxation of the hotel..we spend 7 days here every year for the past 5 years and the kids can't wait for next year
