Universal Studios is packing up its six-shooters and closing its Wild Wild West Stunt Show after 12 years and 17,000 performances.

A replacement for the live attraction, which featured a cast of rough-and-tumble characters in a 19th century setting, has not been decided.

"We have a couple of terrific ideas," but a final decision has not been made, Universal spokesman Jim Canfield said.

The show's 10 contract performers and six staff members will be given the opportunity to audition and apply for other jobs at the parks, Canfield said.

jj........

What a shame!

We did the show in 2001 and really enjoyed it............I recall the warm up being the Marx Brothers ( well, not the REAL Marx brothers....)

Oh well, time moves on...........
