Just booked a trip to Disney. Seems we never really plan to go, but just can't stay away! So with the frigid temperatures neverending, at least now, I can plan and dream about the heat of Disney in June! We will have a car this time, so we are planning on doing a day at Universal, as my son loves HP, and is now into Marvel characters. Is there a great place for tickets?

UndercoverTourist, using the Mousesavers Newsletter link, is usually a good discount.

You can buy a 2-day+1 day free Park-to-Park ticket directly from Universal right now for $158.70 and it is actually cheaper than the UT price. But, it must be ordered by 5/9/14 and used by 5/22/14.

Orbitz has 2-day+1 day free Park-to-Park tickets for $155.99 (adult) and $144.99 (child). If you purchase through ebates.com, you will get a 10% cash back check, making this your best deal overall.

I only need one day tickets. It will be a struggle to get my Disney snob DH to make the trek there to begin with, certainly not for more than one day!

On our trip this past November we also took a day to go to Universal. There really aren't any significant discounts for just a one day/one park ticket. I bought ours through undercover tourist using the Mouse savers newsletter discount. It saved a few dollars. We loved it and had a blast. We decided to leave the rest of the family at Disney for a non park day. They went to Downtown Disney, resort hopped and hung out at the pool, while I took my Harry Potter obsessed 9 year old to Universal. It was the perfect compromise for our family.

Just FYI - it is expected that Diagon Alley will open in June, although dates have not been announced as far as I know.

Currently, WWOHP and the Marvel superhero section are both at Islands of Adventure. Once Diagon Alley opens in Universal Studios, you will need park-to-park tickets to ride the Hogwarts Express, and HP attractions will be in both parks.

Not to dissuade you from a one-day ticket (although we love Universal and go for several days), but you might want to add park-to-park if you go after Diagon Alley opens.

Thanks for this. I knew it was coming, but wasn't sure when it opened!
