Just seen this advert on the dis home page sounds good value $85.99 + tax for 2 park tickets.Says i can pickup at gate which is a must as im away on tuesday.Has anyone used this company and gate pickup.

These tickets have been around a while now. Many have used the link on here no problems. You can also book them direct with Universal but their website annoyingly re-directs you to UK ticket site where they are not available. So unless you use something that hides you are from UK it would be a phone call direct to Universal.
I have emailed them to complain about it but they are not interested.
You will have no problem using Dreams unlimited(if thats the link you saw)
Other option is AP's, I keep going on about these, expensive for 1st year unless you get a deal but then only £50/year after that to renew with free parking and discounts they are the best ticket to get.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread. Wayne, I have a 2 year Preferred AP due to expire in Aug 2008. Would it be possible for me to renew and, if so, how can I do that? MTIA... :thumbsup2

We have renewed 3 times now, really easy. Not got the phone number to ring them, I logged into the site with my pass details and it gave me it there, I am sure its on the site somewhere, or ring Universal's general number and they will put you thru. I give them 1 of the pass numbers and they know all 3 of ours are connected give them CC details and they are activated for another year. Only takes a few minutes.
Our cards are the old plastic ones with photos, if yours are newer ones on card they might issue new ones you have to collect there, not sure.
You can log in here for more details http://www.universalorlando.com/annualpass/ap_pref.php.html
You also have upto 30 days after your renewal date to renew but its backdated to your renewal date. I always renew a week or 2 before renewal then I dont forget.

Well, Wayne, that's got to be one of the best bits of info I have learnt on the DIS! :thumbsup2 Four of us have got US APs and it just never occurred to me that I could renew them! So thank you very, very much! :goodvibes

You've made my day...

They have been $99+tax every year as long as we have been renewing. I expect them to increase every year but they haven't. I expected an increase announcment at the same time the told us about the new Harry Potter development and they didn't. To me they are the best value ticket in Florida, £50 for 2 theme parks and free parking for a full year is great value.
They were even better when they allowed us to get fast passes (or whatever they were called)
With discounts and free parking ours almost pay for themselves.:)

Hi - can you direct me to the advert? We're looking for options for Universal tickets for our trip in March. Also considering APs.

I have enough keeping up with this forum and odd visit to Cruise forum, don't even get to see UK community very often. Personally think DIS is split into too many forums but thats probably just me.

Thanks CustardTart. That's a much better deal than the one that Universal are offering on the website to UK residents.

Julie

We have APs too, bought off Universal website with the 'buy a year get an extar year free' offer they had on recently.

Hi everyone - Wayneg, I think I read somewhere that it is worthwhile just one of you buying an annual pass to avoid parking fees, and to get food discounts???!!! Is this really the case?? (we are staying at HRH for 3 nights and will have one day in US and one day in IOA, and we will eat all 3 nights at city walk - but we are highly unlikely to be going back to florida for at least a couple of years :scared: ) - Is it a good idea for us or should I just get us all two day passes and pay parking????

thanks alot!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

If you are only going for a few days and then not returning for 2 years then doubt it is worth you getting AP, unless you can get a room discount with it, I got email offering HRH at $149 until Xmas, Is that a good price? I have never stayed there so no idea.
First year is quite expensive with no offers just now. about $190 +tax, so a lot of discounts and parking ($11/day) needed to recoup the difference between the AP and whatever ticket you were considering.
We started with AP on a 2 year for price of 1 then renwed every year since at $99, even 1 trip a year they are worth it but like next year we could be going 4 times so they are for nothing.

Amy the Universal APs are incredible value for money, free parking and park discounts are a real attraction. The main reason we buy them is because I feel they are really cheap anyway, and the extra year free a big selling point at the time we purchased.
However, personally feel you need at least 1 full holiday to make it worthwhile so I agree with Wayne and cannot see the benefit for a short stay.

Not sure if this will help anybody, but we have just bought our AP's for $189.95 each online with universalorlando.com and they are currently offering 3 months free.

As they cover 15 months it will be worth it for us as they will cover 3 visits.

Not quite as good as the 2nd year free but will do for us.

We even managed to get the flexible payment option.
