Universal Ticket Question

We're planning on a trip to Universal in December and have been researching ticket options. While we were there in April we got the 4 park flex pass and loved it. This time, however, we don't have as much time to visit parks. Anyway, on to my question. On the Universal website they have a 5 day ticket. It says it is for 5 consecutive days. However, it doesn't say if there is an expiration day or blackout days. Does anyone here know if there are any restrictions on these passes?

Any help would be appreciated.

The only restriction I know of is that the pass is good for 5 consecutive days from the first day of use.
