Sounds like we are heading down the weekend after Thanksgiving for 8 nights or so. Prob arrive on Saturday 11/29. I'm dying to hit Universal this year. What's it like that weekend crowd wise? We might come down a day or 2 earlier if we can hit US the first few days. No way we are hitting WDW parks until Monday probably. I was also thinking of grabbing a night or 2 at Hard Rock or Royal Pacific so we could get FOTL passes. Not sure if it will be worth it though for the 1st week in Dec? Planning to stay at Bonnet Creek right now and will have a couple cars (2 families) so transportation is no issue, I was mainly looking at staying onsite for the FOTL pass but if it's not really needed I would rather not split our stay this trip.

Thanks!!

Thanksgiving weekend is PACKED and it will likely be busier this year with the HP expansion being new.Unless you get there the beginning of Thanksgiving week, expect it to be very crowded.I would stay onsite if you can .

Yeah not sure what I was thinking. Prob just going to hit US towards the end of the week. May shift the dates. Still not sure about FOTL pass though. In the past we have been able to get around WDW in early Dec. without too much hassle grabbing only a few FP, moderate to low SB times. Not sure what to expect at US, figure the crowds levels track more or less the same?

Crowds should be better than. You will likely still have the longest waits in both HP sections, but the rest should be tolerable. You can always purchase express pass if you get there and the crowds are too much for you
