I don't know if this is an appropriate place to post a question about USH, but are there tips about what to do first when you arrive, how long does it take to see everything, etc?

Thanks!

Actually, if you go to the top of this screen and click DIS Discussion Forums, they have one for Universal as well.

Thanks, I'll check it out. For some reason I thought that was just for Universal Studios Florida.

I'd prefer to stay at Disneyland the whole time too, but I was asking for my son, who is going there in May with his high school band.

Liz you are correct the Universal board here is only for USF. I don't know where you have to go for Universal Hollywood questions.

I can answer some since I recently went this summer. I have to warn you they don't have even half of what USF has. I was sort of disappointed when we went this summer. I hadn't been in 8 years and was expecting more I guess.

One thing I really did enjoy was the Spiderman Rocks show. I was a little disappointed by the tram ride it was still good just not as good as I remembered it.

I would suggest staying at the Sheraton Universal it overlooks the park. The rooms are very nice and they even have special Shrek Suites all though I am sure these are very expensive.

CityWalk there is awesome, still not as great as USF CityWalk but it was the first one I believe before USF and Disneyland's DTD.

I hope your son has a great time sorry I couldn't be more help.

You can see everything in a day. I don't really have any tips but maybe you could do a search on this board and find something. I really liked US in Hollywood.

I love Universal Studios, but then I've never been to the Florida one. I've been there three times and still not done a couple attractions, but then we have a tendency to re-do our favorites many times. Jurassic Park is our favorite and we usually ride that about 8 times in a row! Shrek is just wonderful! Make sure you do the studio tour. Other good attractions include Animal Planet (my daughter got to have her pic taken with Lassie), Waterworld, and Terminator. I'm not in to the whole Terminator thing, but that was a great show! Also, be prepared with film, because all kinds of cool charaters walk around the park and they will pose with your family. Some of my favorite family pictures came from Universal!

Have a great time! :p
