Universal Studios...will a 7, 6 and 5 year old like it?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We're leaving in three weeks and my two kids (7 and 5) and my nephew (6) chose to go to Universal Studios one day. From what we saw online it looked great. I've been, but it was many years ago! However, the comic book characters (Spiderman, etc.) really appealed to the boys. My question is, is Universal age appropriate for them? Any suggestions would be great!

Oh, yes! In fact, I have seen many little kids at Universal!

Universal Studios Florida-
Woody Woodpecker's Kid Zone-Meet Woody, Barney, and others. E.T. Adventure is boring to me, but little ones go nuts over that. Spend quality time in Fievel's Playland and Curious George Goes to Town (playgrounds that kids really like.If your 5 year old likes Barney, make sure he sees the Barney show. Also, see Animal Actors on Location if you love animals! Make sure your kids ride Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster if your kids want to be coaster enthusiasts, but can't do the big boys yet. (By "big boys" I mean Hulk and Fire and Ice.) At World Expo (if you get there, seeing that I think your 5 and 6 year olds could spend an entire day at Woody's Kidzone), Hit Men in Black. It is lots of fun, and the aliens are not scary. There is some spinning on this ride, but you know your kids better than I. In Production Central, try Jimmy Neutron and Shrek 4-D. There is a hight restriction for Jimmy Neutron, but there is a sign that says that children under 40 inches have seats of their own. Anyway, I will talk to you about IOA later. Do not listen to those comments saying Universal is like Six Flags. In fact, I think it is better themed than Disney.

if they're into the comic book characters, Islands of Adventure is the park they'd want to visit. since IOA has the bigger thrill rides, I'd first check their heights. Spiderman is a minimum of 40" to ride, and the bigger coasters are 56". there's a bunch of attractions in the middle as well, but it's a good starting point.

as far as age appropriate- if a kid can walk, they'll find plenty of things to do at either park.

My boys who were 9, 8, 7, 5, and 3 all loved it when we went in May and can't wait to return!!! They really enjoyed Spiderman, both water rides, JP, Seuss Landing, and the Flying Unicorn. USO was equally as fun for them as for us.
