This post only refers to the "Season Pass".

A little info about our situation. We are traveling to Orlando June 27 - July 4. We also plan to go there for another week over Thanksgiving. We would have no problems paying for annual power passes for our family, except that the week we are traveling in June/July is a blackout period. So, our other options are to move up to preferred passes, or go with the 7 day unlimited passes ($100) for each vacation. So, long story short, this season pass deal would be very beneficial to us.

I called the number that Ticket Master provided twice. There is no longer an option #2. It connected me to Universal Orlando, not Ticket Master. These are the questions I wanted to ask...

1) Have blackout dates been lifted with regard to the season passes?
2) When is the pass good through?
3) Which is better, the print ticket option, or have them mailed to me?
4) What do I do with the "ticketmaster" tickets when I get to the parks?
5) I don't live in Florida, am I going to have any problems when I get to the parks?
6) If I do have problems, what can be done to fix the situation so that I am not out $100/person?

1st call - Yesterday afternoon. (Did not go so good)

The phone rep was only interested in how I came about getting the discount code. She further insisted that I had to be a Florida resident or employee of Universal to get the discount. She than asked me what the code was...I thanked her for her time, and ended the conversation.

2nd call - This morning. (Went better)

1) Blackout dates "have" been lifted on "Season Passes" only.
2) Season Passes are good through Dec. 31, 2009.
3) No preference on their part, either ticket will be fine. It's what works best for the buyer. Standard mail tickets take about 2 weeks to arrive. Printed tickets are obviously available immediately.
4) The tickets that the buyer recieves should be taken to guest services and turned into a season pass. Photo ID required to verify ownership.

At this point I asked is that all they need my photo ID for? And she responded..."And that you are a Florida resident"...OUCH

5) Season Passes "Should" only be for Florida residents.
6) If guest services doesn't want to give the buyer a Season Pass because they are not a Florida resident, they would "most likely" convert it into some other type of ticket.

Regarding 5 & 6, she basically said that Season Passes are for Florida residents, but if I had a code that got me the Season Pass go ahead and try it, it would probably go through. Worst case scenerio, we turn it into some other type of ticket.

Based on my second phone call, and from other messageboard forums on the internet, I feel like I have a pretty good shot at getting these tickets turned into Season Passes even though we don't live in Florida. I think we're gonna roll the dice...

If any other Non-Floridians have been able to get these tickets and use them as Season Passes, I would love to hear your experiences.

Sorry this was so long. I hope it might help others who have the same questions I did.

couple of questions....

the Florida resident stipulation that the above poster mentions is that just for the season pass option? Does the two day pass have that same stipulation?

Also, any idea on how long Ticketmaster will be offering these rates? Is it essential I order now, or can a wait a couple of weeks?

thanks

We bought our 2-Day/2-Park tickets last night and used them today with no problem. Great deal compared to comparable Disney tickets!

I'm just wondering why there is a code? Who is the code designed for?
just curios

oops sorry I meant 1 day and 2 day codes I would like we are unsure how many days we are going but we are going next month.

thanks

I bought them using the self printing tickets (2 days, 2 parks) and had no problem in the entrance.

As Joel said on another thread, you can try to guess the code, using a Universal attraction name, ride, movie or something. I used my guess code without problem (a ride).

Thanks dor the heads up to Joel, and the code he sent me,
