Has anyone been to this store? I saw it mentioned in a guidebook, and thought it might stretch my daughter's Harry Potter souvenir budget if they carried anything in that line. Or, is Harry Potter stuff so hot it wouldn't be at the outlet?

There used to be one at the Orlando Premium Outlets but that closed some time ago. Now they just have the Disney Outlet.

Just an FYI on the Harry Potter merchandise at IOA, there wasn't anything there that our party of 7 would even think about buying (think black t shirts with big gold lettering on them). We all wanted a HP souvenir, but it just all looked cheap to us. It is such a shame, as there were so many people visiting HP world, and they probably would sell alot more of the t shirts if they were cute.

I agree with the pp about the cheap HP stuff. When I went, I really wanted a HP magnet but I didn't end up getting one. The didn't have many choices and what they did have was all flimsy plastic stuff. I guess in my head I was thinking fancy metal Hogwarts crest kinda thing.

I have seen some Universal stuff at the Disney Character Outlet in the LBV Factory Outlets.

It always amazes me when places can't design decent T shirts. (I wear lots of t shirts, and always want to buy one when I go places)

Disney rarely has ones I like, sorry to hear the same about Universal. I even went to the Aquarium in NJ, and they had very few to choose from.....

I have to get mine at places like Woot and Threadless.

Thanks for the replies! The store the book mentions is at the Festival Bay mall--that one seems to still be open. While I was searching for it, I did find a review that said while some things are 70% off, current things like Harry Potter are regular price.

I appreciate the heads up about the t-shirts, etc. I'll try and prep my daughter that if it's not wonderful we'll get something better later on. The things she's looking at online at the Universal Store were robes ($100--ouch!), ties ($30), and more. And the book mentioned brooms that were $250+. Holy cow!! I think we'll pass on that. LOL She's wanting to do her room in a Harry Potter theme, so maybe we'll pick up the Gryffindor Throw there and I'll save by not having to have it shipped. But I'm thinking I'll be watching ebay for replica posters, maps, etc. instead of the 'real things' they might be selling down there.

Don't waste your time at that Universal outlet store. They have very outdated merchandise and the prices aren't cheap. We go to that Festival Mall because of the RonJon store. I always venture down to the Universal outlet and I swear its the same junk time after time.
We visited Universal Studios in August and like other posters said, there are no deals on the Harry Potter merchandise. The postcards alone are $1.00 each!:confused3
