Universal Studios Orlando vs CA?

Our family of 2 19 yr old sons and a 16yr old daughter, my dh and i, are going to California for the 1st time ever this summer. We are looking for ideas on what to do!

A friend recommend Universal Studios and tour. I am wondering if anyone could evaluate how similar the US are in FL and CA. I realize the tour is only available in CA.

Is US the best studio tour? I have also read some positive reviews on Warner Bros tour. Or, should we do them both?

USF and USH are in zero ways similar. I personally think USF is way better, but USH is still fun.

The only attractions they share are Jurassic Park, The Simpsons, Terminator and Shrek. They both have The Mummy, but the rides are very, very different at each park.

The studio backlot tour is a lot of fun and, yes, it is by far the best studio tour in Los Angeles.
