I'm travelling to florida in april for 3 days with my 2 daughters 8 and 2....we are definetly doing Magic Kingdom and Sea World but am having a hard time figuring out what to do with my 3rd day... Universal Studios or Hollywood Studios....Can't make up my mind....any suggestions???

There really isn't much at Universal for a 2 year old other than a small play area and a few small rides. I would think both kids would enjoy Animal Kingdom or DHS more.

I couldn't agree more. Our DD (4) & DS ( 20 months ) didn't enjoy Universal much.

There is actually quite a bit to do for kids - much more than at DHS ... :confused3

Universal Studios has Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone with a couple of play areas and a coaster for kids, plus there is a live Barney show. There is also Animal Actors on Stage, and I'm sure your 8 year old would love Shrek and ET. On the IOA side there is Seuss Landing with the Caro-seuss-el (a carousel with Dr. Seuss characters), One Fish, Two Fish ride (much like Dumbo and Aladdin's at MK), Camp Jurassic Park (a prehistoric playground), Popeye’s ship, The Cat In The Hat ride, and the Seuss Trolley Ride.

---> this link will give you more information.

Also, if you have Airmiles, you can get a child's 1 day/1 park admission for 570 airmiles (or 830 for a two park), and an adult's 1 day/1park admission for 680 airmiles (or 830 for a two park)

Now is your 2 year old just turned, or almost 3? Almost 3 would probably enjoy the great freeplay areas at Universal/Islands.

Universal has Barney, Curious George, Woody Woodpecker play areas. Islands of Adventure has Dr. Seuss area, Jurassic play area, Popeye ship.

Can we park hop between universal and IOA???

I'm assuming you haven't been there before. Or at least not since you had the kids.

Wow! This is an expensive way to do a trip! Sounds like you're paying for US and SW separately. You can actually get a pass that will let you into US, IOA and SW -- that would easily take up 3 days. Or you could do SW for 2 days (the 2nd day is free) and 1 other park for 1 day) Or you could even have done all 3 days at US and IOA for just $99 per person. Or you could save money for each additional day you spend at WDW.

I would suggest you rethink this plan, especially since 3 days in a row at different parks can be exhausting.

Or if you still want to do all 3, get the 2 park pass for IOA and US (personally, I would just choose 1 and save the other for a separate trip). I would suggest that you do MK last, since your DD8 will want to go there every day after she sees it -- if you go there first, it could make the rest of the trip not so fun with her asking to go back every day. :goodvibes

My vote is for the 2 park, 1 day so you can enjoy the kids areas on both sides of Universal. Short walk between the two. Have fun.

I would say get the 2 park pass and go between US and IOA. You can easily do it in a day if you plan it out and go early. IOA has Camp Jurrasic, Toon Lagoon and Suess Landing which would be great for a kid.

Yes- go to Universal and IO A. Get the 2 park pass and just hit the kiddie rides at both parks.
