Do you think the new Harry Potter area will keep universal busy even in November?
I'm planning to be there for 2 days 3 nights from the 12-15th and am trying to decide if I should go with one of the park hotels so I can get early entry and unlimited express passes.

I think it will be busier then it normally is.How busy? no one knows at this point for sure. I dont think it will be insane crowds, but I dont think it will be low /empty parks either( like it has been).I recommend staying onsite if you can swing it.It is so worth the expense and puts your mind at ease

Am I right in thinking that the express pass you buy at the gate is only for 1 ride of each ride and that the one you get from the hotels is unlimited rides?

I stayed onsite a US/IOA from November 12-16 2010. That was the year that Hogsmeade of WWOHP opened. I took advantage of the extra hour in IOA for Harry Potter two of the days. That part of the park was pretty busy most of the day but the early entry was very helpful. This is a pretty slow time for the parks overall and we really enjoyed our very relaxing, very productive visit.

If you stay onsite and use the early entry to your advantage or visit the Potter areas just before park closing you will have no trouble seeing everything you like. Parks do close earlier at this time of year. This is really not an issue since so much can be accomplished with Express Entry. Evenings were spent enjoying City Walk and some of the very good resort restaurants. Both Emeril's restaurants have the best banana cream pie on the planet IMHO.

Yep staying on site at deluxe is the way I have decided to go. Now just need to decide which one.
I was looking at Emerils, looks very nice.

We are going in October and are wondering the same thing for that time. I know it will be busy...just hoping it is not crazy busy.

Weighing up the cost with early entry plus unlimited express pass the deluxe hotel just makes way more sense.

Booked 2 nights at the royal pacific resort. We are staying at the doubletree right near universals on the 1st night since we don't get in till late- then early check in at the royal pacific before we hit the parks for early entry.
Super super excited.
