I had an unexpected opportunity the other afternoon to visit Universal Studios Hollywood. Unlike all the pre-planning I do for a WDW visit, there was no pre-planning for this visit.
I learned quickly that they do not have ECVs to rent although the person thought if might be an option in the future. I found Guest Services. I mentioned that when I visit WDW, I get a guest assistance card. The guy was funny & helpful! I was able to get a Guest Assistance Pass.
On one side it reads, "This Guest Assistance Pass is intended to provide reasonable accomodations during your visit. This passs is NOT intended to provide immediate access. Please present this pass to the Attraction Greeter for assistance." On the bottom is says, RETURN TIME PASS with my name & date.
On the reverse side it reads, "This pass can accomodate one (1) pass holder and up to three (3) guests. Additional party members are advised to access the attraction throught the regular queue. Additional designated accessible entrances may be provided for guests with disabilities who require reasonable accomodations and for those with service animals."
Well, let me tell you, we were treated like royalty at every attraction! I barely had to begin to show the pass, when the greeter, who had already spotted the pass, would nicely let me know where to wait or which way to proceed to the attraction, etc. Perhpas it helped that we didn't arrive until mid-afternoon or that it was a weekday. I don't know, but I felt like the greeters at Universal Studios Hollywood paid more attention than WDW CMs.
We had a wonderful afternoon & evening! I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Maybe now we'll go to Universal Studios Orlando!
