We are spending a day at the US Hollywood the week after Easter. As we only have a day and it is a busy period I am considering buying front of the line passes. Do all of the attractions have Universal Express like US Florida? Has anybody bought these passes? Were they worth the money? Any help much appreciated.

We were there Jan/5/03 during the holiday week,so it was very busy!! US Hollywood is much smaller than US FL. There are two parts the upper lot and the lower lot. There are 3 huge escalators that go down a hill. It can be done in one Day. We had just reg. tickets. Armed with a guide book "The Unoffical Guide to Disneyland",which has a chapter on US Hollywood and the touring guide. We managed to cover almost all of US Hollywood in just 1 day. Even doing the shows.

There are a bit less seperate attractions at USH. The tram tour which takes you through the backlot and sound stages is great and also includes, King Kong, Earthquake, Jaws, The Red Seas Parting and numerous other small things as well as the old movie sets and such. They now have a few other attractions like Terminator 2 3D and Jurrasic Park and ET that have seperate lines. Even if it is busy you should be able to do them without a pass.

Thanks for the info. Does anybody know if all the attractions have the Universal Express option. I can't find anything on the official website.
Thanks again

We remember seeing it advertised near the front gates. But as I was in a wheel chair we didn't use it.

One other thing I just remebered is that at the gates while doing inspection of bags,They stopped all food items from being brought in,except bottled water. Even when I explained I was Diabetic and needed to carry snacks. They refused to allow outside food in to the park.

I went to the park in early Dec. not a busy time and all the vip passes were sold out with a sign at the gates saying so. So i would buy the passesin advance and not at the gate as they only sell a set amount.
We also thought it was odd that they wouldnt let you bring in ANY snacks!!! The only park that ive seen so anal about bringing in snacks.(even worse than SFMM) We had to throw away some snacks for the kids because going back to the car wasnt worth the time.
If you have been to Universal Studios FLA you will IMHO be very disappointed at USH. Their arent that many attractions to see and the tram tour with jaws/kong etc was imho lame.

Thanks very much everyone.
Tink2dw - I think it's awful that they wouldn't let you bring snacks in as they are so important to someone with Diabetes.
Bob - I have just ordered the passes, hopefully as it's the week after Easter they will make the visit more enjoyable. I have been to USF many times but my son in particular is looking forward to this one because it's a real studio.
Thanks again.

Tracy,
Where did you get the passes from and how much are they? We will be there the last week of June into July and sounds like a good idea as the kids have just got out of school and I am expecting it to be busy.
Claire :D

You can get front of the line passes at a discount right now from the main Universal website... not sure on the dates.

But we're going in a few weeks and they have a great deal - buy a one day pass at full price ($47 for adults) and use it before the end of April, you get it upgraded to an annual pass for free (some blackout dates)

Since we'll be back in the area this fall it seems like a good deal for us.

Hollywood is not the same as Orlando, but we enjoyed it when we were there 5 years ago.
