Universal Studios Hilton/City Walk

I just booked a night at Universal Hilton- it says shuttle service to the parks. Can you walk? based on the pictures it looks like it's right next to it. Also is City Walk right there as well? Can we walk to these locations from here?

If anyone knows a better/closer location, please let me know. Thanks!

I've only stayed at the Sheraton there, so I looked up the Hilton on Trip Advisor and there are many reviews that mention it being in walking distance!
The Hilton is the closest hotel.

It is within the Universal complex. You could probably walk but it would be an uphill walk to the entrance & downhill on the way back. Universal Citywalk is right there as well.

This exactly! You wouldn't want to do that walk. It is a large, steep hill. But, yes I you can walk it.
Basically, Universal was built on a big hill. The park itself has two levels, the studio lot is on a third. The hotels are on that bottom, third level. You can't get a closer stay, but it can't be a fun walk.

thanks, so at least it sounds like the walk "home" is easier! lol! has anyone taken the shuttles? Are they run in a timely manner?

The run about every half hour. There is a timer at the stop that ticks off the minutes until the next arrival.

We stayed at the Hilton Universal City on our last visit, we walked and it was perfect. Just a few minutes there and back. CityWalk as well! The only thing that could be considered as a slight concern is the slope at which you'll have to walk, but it isn't bad at all. You'll even be thankful that the walk back to the hotel property is literally all downhill. Don't waste your time with the shuttles.
