Universal Studios & Disney World?!

I always thought Universal Studios was IN Disney World but recently I've been told they're completely different!! Can someone please explain? Are they completely different or just slightly or are they actually the same and I got punked? -.-

I would love to go to Florida sometime next year and visit some of the parks, say I had a week, what places would you recommend I visit? I'm completely open to anything Disney as I've wanted to go for AGEEES

They are completely different parks, in completely different resorts, owned by completely different companies, about 20-25 mins away from each other. I would definitely recommend both, they are amazing in their own ways, but you would be very rushed to do all 6 parks from both resorts in just a week.

Hi, Maybe you just got confused....?

There is a studios at Disney...... Disney Hollywood Studios referred to on here as DHS. DHS used to be called MGM/ Disney Studios.

The Disney parks are:
Magic Kingdom
EPCOT
Animal Kingdom
Disney Hollywood Studios
Blizzard Beach (water park)
Typhoon Lagoon (water park)

There is also a shopping / dining area called Downtown Disney

At Universal you have:
Universal Studios
Universal Islands of Adventure

Universal City Walk is dining / bars

I would really recomend you get a good guide book such as "The Brits Guide to Orlano" or the unofficial guide.
