Universal Studios News - (10/22/02) While Vivendi Universal has nothing to say about this, it seems that the Beijing Tourism Group made an announcement at a press conference that they intended to build a Universal Studios theme park in time for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. They claimed the park would cost $900 million and be placed on a 300 hectare site.

Disney is supposed to be building a park in Hong Kong/China also.
