I've had dial-up for almost 5 years. Now, finally, I have high-speed.

Back in the day when we only had dial-up (and Windows 3.0 or whatever it was called)...back when we'd get our downloads from a website called softseek.com and it would take a few days to download and then we played "cool" games like Hocus Pocus and Keen and Doom...and Wolfenstein (the original version)...


and what about those wonderful DOS games and programs?

Or going WAY back to when our "computers" were the TI consoles for our TVs!! Oh boy...we still have ours sitting in the attic...

Hey, I still have dialup! DSL and cable modems aren't available where I live.

I still have a Commodore 64.

BTW, aren't you supposed to use study hall to take a nap? What's happening with kids these days? They want to study and be educated? What's the world coming to?

lol Barry!! I take my nap during my other classes and use study hall to do my homework that I put off doing at home. Or I use study hall to check the DISboards...I win either way

Hey Selina - sorry, I missed it. Was at school still...sleeping

One of my friends now teases me about falling asleep in class. Yesterday she said she saw me fall asleep and again today...as we left school, I told her "I'm glad school is over for today! I can't wait to get home!"

She then asks, "Are you going to take a nap?"

Hiya.....actually I decided to delete what I said. But on this thread I can probably tell you without upsetting everyone.......You see it said in the paper that the woman's name was Lesley KILLER - and I remarked on how weird her surname was and to be riding the Hulk in IOA - and then.....of dear......said it was as if she was one of the "Mutants"!! See why I deleted it.......very bad taste!!
Anyway...I just hope she pulls through...it does look as if her heart couldn't take the ride.

Thanks Selina...I don't know why people try to pick fights...was just posting something to show my (childish, yet innocent) excitement about the number of posts!

Oh I don't know...I don't understand why he had to be such an ***hole... And he picked the worst timng ever...

oh! My family just got here, I'll still post tonight...I will try to be on tomorrow, but since tomorrow the "the day" I'm not sure if I'll be on or not.


PS - do you think I crave attention? I never really thought about it...I definitely didn't go out of my way and post that JUST so people would notice me...it was all in fun...you know what...maybe I do...now that I;m an only child (because of "the day") I crave the attention because I don't usually get it except on this board...I'm so confused

No....you don't seem to be craving attention at all. We just all share the common bond of being addicted to not only "on-line" chat but also to chat with people who really do share your interests - even some many miles away!! Look at me...it's 12.16 am and I should be in bed......!!!
Anyway.....it's now "that" day...so have a warm hot chocolate and know that I am thinking of you along with all your other on-line friends.
P.s. 10th December is the bad one for me - it's the day my dad died - he was 54.

First of all, thank you so much Selina. At least I have one of my aunt's and my grandmother here. My brother was 18 years old when it happened...we were like best friends...which was odd because he was 6 1/2 years old than I...but we had "grown-up conversations like a week before it happened he asked what my future would be like...and actually said something to the nature of "never having that professional career." I remember getting mad at him for saying, "I may not be here tomorrow" Little did I know that days later, he'd prove to be right.

God, I miss him!

Also, I am sorry to hear about your dad. 54 is very young.

Anyway, no reply from the one guy yet about pictures. Oh well...all in time (if I even sent it to the right address in the first place...lol).

Hmm...lol I took some online quizes all about "emotional age" and "maturity" and stuff...every one of them said I have the mind and maturity of an adult and another one said that, if I didn't have to worry about school still, I'd be living on my own.

Just thought I'd share that...lol...I don't know why...

Oh! Oh!! My mom and I got the GREATEST idea ever!!!!!

Well, I have a Mickey Mouse T-shirt (no idea why, since I think Disney is mediocre compared to Universal and IOA) and Mickey Mouse is on the front in the position that shows he's "walking." Well, my mom and I were thinking...where would Mickey be going??


Universal of course!!!!

So, my mom and I are going to get iron-on letters to add to turn the Mickey shirt into a Universal shirt...hehehe!!
