Universal Studios Chat 7 1/2

OK, fine. Here's basically what I did:

Went to IOA and got on the Hulk while my parents went on Spiderman. Then I took my dad on Fire Dragon -- front row. He had never done it before, and usually doesn't go on coasters b/c makes him ill. But, he enjoyed it a LOT despite the dizzy feeling afterward. He survived though! :teeth: We then made our way towards Universal. We noticed Confisco's said they were serving Thanksgiving Dinner and my dad said we'd have to remember that for next time (next time?? Is my dad already planning to come back next Thanksgiving? Muahahaha! Mom and I hve corrupted him! :p).

Dad went to get Express Passes for himself and my mom for Shrek. The line for Express was really long, so my mom and I made our way over to Men in Black. We got on via Single Riders and ended up in the same car. After that, we ran into my dad and the 3 of us did single riders. Dad had gotten Express Passes, but it wasn't until 4:30 in the afternoon! Yikes!

I then walked around Universal testing out my new camcorder. I also took a lot of scenery pictures of the Christmas decor. I watched Street Breaks and then made my way to my spot at the Ghostbusters Show. I saw the first Ghostbusters Show and then my parents and I went to get lunch. We ate at Louie's and I got a slice of BBQ Chicken pizza. It wasn't too bad...not nearly enough sauce on it...could barely even taste the BBQ...all I could taste was chicken and cheese...it wasn't too bad though... I then left to go see the next GB Show. I decided to videotape it and this was the show where GIO2 mentioned me. lol...but, you already know about that...

moving on, after the GB Show I went over to the Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue where my dad was saving me a spot up front. I decided to record this too. I noticed the former GB there again, playing the part I thought he did best. I got a picture with Dracula and Werewolf.
Then I went back to the Ghostbusters Show. Saw that show, then...don't remember...my parents went over to Shrek with their Express...oh, I was being a "tourguide"...actually, I was all day...people always come up to me while I'm at my spot...lol...one couple talked to me about the GB Show, Annual Passes and their benefits, and how often I come to the parks...they said I was the best tourguide they encountered that day...lol :)

I saw the last show and then said "bye" to the guys before we left the parks to my uncle's house. All family had already left...some minutes before we arrived...oh well!!

Well, Clare, I feel at a loss as to how to participate in this chat since I've never seen a Ghostbusters show (gasp!)!

But, Mike and I finally booked for March. We were happy with our rate @ the PBH, and just booked our airfare last night (not so happy with the airfare though!). We're heading down 3/24-3/30, so maybe I can see the show with you sometime that last weekend of March.

I feel so left out....;)

AlexandNessa -- don't feel left out! Selina has never seen the show! Only pictures. :teeth: I just introduced SpideyHulk and his wife to the show a month or two ago. I'll be introducing Robin and Maria to the show in December.

Anyway, thanks for letting me know the dates! I'm sure I can make arrangements for at least one or two of those days! I'll let you know :)

OK, AlexandNessa - it should be no problem meeting up...turns out you'll be going during my Spring Break. I'm trying to convince my parents to let me have another mini trip of 2 or more days :)

Yikes! Spring Break -- I think that's why our airfare was so high. I needed to book though because it looks like the flights we wanted in and out of Orlando were almost full, and I was worried that if I waited any longer, I'd have a great rate at the PBH, with no way to get down there!

Mike and I are very excited since we had to reschedule our September trip -- I even got him to add on an extra few days -- bonus!

I'm sure we'll iron out the details as things get closer. Yippee!! I finally have my trip booked!!

Yep! I'm glad you don't have to wait too much long for your trip! How is your foot BTW?

Well, good thing you added a couple days...probably will be super busy...at least you'll have FOTL! :) Besides, you don't have to worry about crowds for the Ghostbusters Show ;) I can always save you a spot up front...:teeth: What can I say? Better view....

Hey, FOTL even at the Ghostbusters show! We can't wait!

Last week I finally got out of my walking boot (very attractive!), and now I'm in for a month of physical therapy. It's amazing how much mobility I've lost not only in my foot and toes, but in my calf and ankle as well since they've also been part of the casting. I'm most upset because I've gained 6 pounds in the 2.5 months I've been off my feet and unable to do cardio!

Did you have a good Thanksgiving?

Yes I did. My Thanksgiving was the Universal trip, mentioned in this thread :) Did you hear the audio clip??? :p

Anyway, good luck with physical therapy...I hated it when I had to get it for my arm back in January...I had dislocated my elbow in August of 2002.

Anyway, yeah, guess you can say you'll get FOTL at the Ghostbusters Show ;) :p You don't have to get there nearly as early as I will...boy, with it being Spring Break, I'll have to get there VERY early Oh well! :) You'll just have to look for the neon yellow seat cushion to find your spot...I'm sure crowds will form very early...at least 20 minutes prior to the show if not more.

Speaking of my seat cushion, because it's fabric, I may have to recover it...getting too dirty!!! :crazy2: Now, where can I find neon yellow fabric? :scratchin

Great report Fly Fly!!!!!

AlexandNessa, I am so glad you are getting to come down! Now if you don't mind, what rate did you get at PBH and what room type. Who knows, you may inspire me to go as well!!!!!:D

Yeah! If we plan now, maybe we can get those DISboard Ghostbuster rehersals in person!

I could imagine your wife's reaction...:p
Hey Barry! Prince Eric! You need to come over to Orlando! And Dark Marauder...you need to let us know what day you aren't working! ;)

I'm tired. Can't believe school starts back up tomorrow :crazy2: I have no idea how I convinced my mom to event take me out at all this week...but it's the only way I'll survive...especially not getting to see the Christmas GB Show on Thursday! :)

Hey AlexandNessa...think you may join the "Drool over Ghostbusters" thread after you see the show? ;)

lol...guess you can say that...:p Still trying to get Robin over there!

Where is Wendypooh?!?!?!?!

Hello :D Finally managed to come on for a few mins..busy all day - won't go into too much detail - but I've been making a "Rhino" costume for my little boy - he's doing the"Lion King" at school. The horns took me ages!!:p Much easier dressing our Ghosbuster idols.....Flyfly: that would be a good rehearsal - one in the flesh - they could make their debut on Lombards Landing....:p

LOL that would be hysterical! The Disboard Ghostbusters trying to steal the show :p :p

Spidey, I think you saw my post on the Date & Rate thread. ($199.12/Deluxe/hotelkingdom). I was shocked as the Std. Garden View room was only $16 cheaper. Now, have I inspired you to go?! (At least you won't have to worry about airfare!)

I WISH I was in Orlando. Its snowing and 30 degrees here. I'm just waiting for a good airfare deal for next year and I'm going back.

I'll be going to Orlando tomorrow ;) Actually, that will be heading NORTH for me :p :teeth:

That kind of rubbing it in is evil and just plain wrong FlyFly. I'm freezing my snakeskins off up here and its only getting colder.
