I plan on booking a one night stay at HRH for FOTL access. Since this is the beginning of summer, would it still be worth it or will the crowds still be unbearable? FYI - I normally vacation in October - never in the Summer months so don't know what to expect. TIA :confused3

Staying onsite one day will give you two days of FOTL. Can it be done in 1 day? Anything is possible but you will miss a lot. It would be like spending a half a day at Magic Kingdom; you could see some things but not most of the park. Why rush it? Take the full 2 days of FOTL.

My seven year old dd and I stayed at the HRH in October with FOTL and we easily did USF/IofA both in one day! We didn't take in any shows, but were able to enjoy a casual lunch and diner w/o missing a single ride in both parks. We actually rode many rides multiple times.

You can easily do both parks if you just ride the rides and skip the show or both parks in two days if you decide to take in the shows.

My advice is to have a plan of attack and then be flexible :rotfl2:

We went in March during Spring Break with all three kids; DD was 4 at the time. We got to do all the shows and rides @ US and the boys got to back track to their favorites before closing. If you have FOTL (which we didn't) you should have NO problem at all.

I can see hitting your favorite rides but "all" of the rides? My sister and her family thought they had done Disney until I took them. They never realized how much they missed the first time.

last year we had friends down for spring break. to literally hit every attraction and show between the two parks took us three days. and that was at opening and with the former free EP's. you may able to blitz the attractions, but the details you miss aren't worth it.

I have no idea why the UO parks have the reputation of being able to be done in one day and have no theming. worse, (puke), no 'magic'.

We just returned from our first visit to Universal and IOA. We easily did Universal in a day. However, our 8 year old DD only enjoyed a few rides (ET being her fav there). She enjoyed IOA MUCH better. There was more for her there. You could get through IOA in a day too, but we would have enjoyed two - it was that fun for us!!

Have fun whatever you decide.
