We are beginning to plan another trip and would like to include Universal Studios this time. Because we are planning to go during free dining, we are trying to consider whether we should stay at Disney properties and drive to Universal, or should pack up and go at the end of our trip.

First off, does Universal Studios offer any kind of guest assistance such as Disney? Because of my son's sensory needs, should we consider staying at Universal to help with line time?

Also, I gave this homework to my husband, but I don't think he's done it....what is the distance between the two parks (is this feasible?)

TIA!

I couldn't tell you the exact distance but it takes us about 15 - 20 minutes to travel from Disney to Universal. It is certainly feasible and yes, they offer the same assistance as Disney. If you choose to stay at a Universal resort, enjoy, because they are lovely.

There's about a ten minute walk between Universal and Islands of Adventure.

Remember a few things. One, in the summer it's horribly hot. Take it slow and easy.

Yes, Universal does have assistance. Please talk to Guest Services on your way in. Here's a great tip as well-If you already have your park tickets, use the guest services inside the park. Small line and air conditioning.

Read up as well. What can your child handle and not handle. Islands has loud areas as well as softer sounding ones. Keep that in mind.
