Believe it or not , my wife found 4 unused passes for Universal Studios that we purchased 12 years ago from AAA. We went to Disneyworld that year and intended to go over to Universal during that week but never made it over there. They were purchased for $34 apiece. I still have the receipt and the passes are in perfect shape. There is no expiration date noted on the passes. Anyone know if they are still good or if we can turn them in for an upgrade to a weekly pass for this an upcoming vacation in July?:cool1:

As far as upgrading them someone else will let you know if and how to do that and if the tickets have no experation on them then they are still good.
That was a gret find by DW :thumbsup2

Wow 12 years ago. That would of been 1997. They only had US then I believe. I hope you don't get the "only good for parks opened in 1997" like WDW does with old passes that predate AK park.

So what does the ticket look like?

You will need to stop by guest services so they can exchange them for tickets with a barcode. They will still be good. If you want to upgrade them, guest services will also have to be the ones to do it. The problem is that the 7 day tickets are internet (online) tickets and can't be purchased at the park. It certainly won't hurt to ask though.

Wow in 97' parking was outside like SW.They were just starting on IOA and the parking garage..Rare find indeed!!!

Check the back of the tik,I doubt it has a expiration on it.
As far as upgrading them, its doubtful.Call guest service on that, you might luck out!!!!:thumbsup2

I came down in 1997 as a visitor (the last time before moving here) and somewhere I have a picture of the construction wall with a poster announcing Islands of Adventure. If I can find it, I need to get it scanned.

Wow, I hope you will be able to upgrade them with no problems.

Me & DH were there in March 1997. I remember leaving the kids with my in-laws for a couple of days as we took some time to do Universal and Epcot without the kids. I remember the construction going on and I remember seeing a big dinosaur announcing Jurassic Park in IOA. I remember DH saying that he couldn't wait for it to open and that we would definitely be coming back once it opened.:goodvibes

Disney didn't do that with me in 2006 when I traded and unused, non-expiry 5-day hopper from the 1980's. I used the pass for AK. :confused3

/me is starting to feel old, realizing that 1997 is already 12 years ago :scared:

12 years...good lord! I remember that old parking lot and IOA rising up out of the bare ground.
