I was wondering if any rides or shows use smell at Universal or IOA?

If you mean like the stink bug at "It's a Bug's Life" or the apple pie at "Philharmagic" or the chilidog smell at "Stitch", then no, they don't use any smells on their 3-d rides. There are certain smells associated with some rides like the propane smell at Jaws and the forest smell at E.T. but those smells are from the ride itself or for ambience.

I heard rumors about that but for whatever reason, it was never done.

Dr. Doom has a definite mechanical smell. Kong used to have the banana smell.

I've always wondered what the exact smell was on the E.T. Ride. I know it something forest but its very distinct. Especially when your flying over the night sky scene. Any thoughts?

We just returned and I'm pretty sure they used smell in "The Terminator"..my kids noticed it also..

The smell in Termintor 2 3-D: Battle Across Time is gun powder comeing from the guns used on stage.

During Halloween Horror Nights is when smells I really used most, like dead flowers, bodies, and of corse... POO!!! But I think that is mainly so you don't smell all the ply wood.
