Universal restaurants and reservations

Hi! I tried to search for this information, but couldn't find it. Could someone tell me which Universal restaurants take reservations? Is this information listed in a FAQ somewhere that I could look up? I'm just trying to plan our trip in June (1st one on site! ), and I'm not very familiar with the Universal restaurants. You can make them when you get there and since your staying onsite then just show your room key and it gets you seated faster

Hi there! We are planning a June trip and I would be glad to share what I have learned thus far. When I called to make advance dining reservations I was told they could not be made until 30 days prior to the day you wish to dine. The exception to this is the character breakfast at Confisco Grill at Islands of Adventure. I was able to make my reservations for this buffet breakfast. It is only held Thursday through Sunday and the characters include Spiderman, Thing 1, Thing 2 and Cat in the Hat. We are dining on June 12th and I had my choice of times starting at 9am. I think seatings are allowed until 11:30am but I'm not absolutely sure.

Depending on which park you wish to dine in advance reservations can be made at up to four places. At IOA you have the above mentioned breakfast at Confisco. I think they also serve lunch and dinner but without the characters. Mythos is also at IOA and serves lunch and dinner-we really enjoyed this place on our last trip. . For IOA reservations call
407-224 4012 . At US Lombards and Finnegans allow reservations and you can make them by calling 407-224-3613 30 days prior to the day you wish to dine. We ate at both our last trip and enjoyed them.

I am not certain on the Citywalk restaurants. I don't believe you can make reservations with the exception of Emerils Orlando. I know if you are staying on site you can obtain faster seating and I did read somwhere that Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. at Citywalk does not honor the seating arrangement for Universal on site guests. Maybe someone more familiar can chime in as I am certainly not an Universal expert. This is just our second trip so I am still learning. Hope this helps and Happy Planning!!

Hi there!

I am not certain on the Citywalk restaurants. I don't believe you can make reservations with the exception of Emerils Orlando. helps and Happy Planning!!

Both US and IOA have dining kiosks where you can make reservations (I think same day only, could be wrong about that) at some Citywalk restaurants. The US kiosk is located outside the "On Location" store ("A" on the Universal map) and the IOA kiosk is located on the Port of Entry side right before the bridge to Super Hero Island. Some restaurants won't take reservations before a certain time; I tried to make a reservation at NBA City for 7:30 and was told they don't take them before 8 PM. This may vary depending on the season.

If you want to make Citywalk restaurant reservations now for your June trip, I'd suggest googling the individual restaurant names and Orlando location and seeing what comes up. Maybe some will accept reservations this far out, maybe not.

If you are approaching this from the Disney "I need to get my ADRs or I'll be out of luck" mind set, relax in the knowledge that it's not that complicated or time-sensitive at Universal. We were able to easily get same-day reservations at Mythos (which is FABULOUS!) when we were there President's Week, which is not exactly slow. We walked up to NBA City (which has very good food) at 7:30 PM and were seated by 8:00 - forgot to show our HRH hotel key, which may have gotten us seated earlier! We didn't try any other Citywalk restaurants, so I can't comment on those.

Yes, Lombards is seafood and Finnegans Bar and Grill is Irish-American.
