Universal Resort Gift Cards?

Has anyone used the Universal Resort Gift Cards? The website says they are redeemable at most merchandise & food & beverage locations.
Can these also be used at City Walk for food and shopping?
Are they accepted pretty much everywhere in the parks?

I wouldn't want to get some for people and find out they weren't able to use them at too many places.

i used the UO gift cards in january.
they were accepted at the hotel, restaurants, in the park, city walk......

I haven't been able to find them in any stores- at least in middle TN. The only thing I have seen is the gift cards for park tickets. Wish they were in stores.

I have only been able to find the gift cards at Safeway - it's a grocery store chain.


Does anyone know if either of the Emeril's restaurants accepts the Universal gift cards? A few years ago, I heard they were not accepted.

The nicest customer service rep called me regarding my email to Universal! I asked where their gift cards are available and if they would consider carrying them at any major retailer, I figured I could try. I explained how convenient it has been for us to save for trips buying gift cards for Disney at Target, CVS and Walgreens. And how great it is to get and give the cards as gifts. I was told they are available online and at Publix locally. She said she would pass along and you never know, they could consider to make them available elsewhere.
