Hello everyone, we'll be returning to Universal in 3 weeks, and I had a question about the refillable red cups. We bought the cups in 2015, but I have been reading on the boards that they are phasing out those cups in favor of the FreeStyle cups. Can anyone confirm if they will still refill the red cups at the parks for $1.29/day? Thanks in advance!

They still do. I had one TM give me a hard to time a couple of weeks ago. No other problems any other time though. I stood my ground with that TM. The cup was filled. I do wonder if they are trying to stop the red cup refills though.

pcstang, thank you so much for your response! We just got back from our trip today, and they did indeed refill my red cup for $1.38 ($1.29 + tax). My family doesn't drink that much soda, but it came in handy for the few times that we were dying for something good to drink (my youngest says that water tastes like nothing...haha!) Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure had no problem refilling the cup. I inquired at Volcano Bay, and the TM said there wasn't an option to do that on their register, which was fine since I just wanted ice water that day.

Good to hear! Hope you enjoyed VB...think I'll wait a while to add that to my APs. I usually only get the kids lemonade or sprite.
