Universal raises ticket prices....

I just bought my tickets this week for my trip in December. Beat that increase. Not surprised as once Disney did it Universal (and soon Sea World) wouldn't be far behind.

Sounds like my decision to get an AP this year was just made for me. :thumbsup2

I bought our 5 tickets back in January for our August trip. I had a feeling the $99 7day/2 park passes would not last with the opening of Harry Potter. The AAA agent told me not to worry that they would probably have that $99 promotion for a long time with the economy-glad I didn't take her advice!!!!

Universal ticket-price increases*:

Base tickets:

1-day: $79 to $82 (+3.8 percent)

2-day: $119.99 to $124.99 (+4.2 percent)

3-day: $134.99 to $139.99 (+3.7 percent)

4-day: $144.99 to $149.99 (+3.5 percent)

Park-to-park tickets:

1-day: $109 to $112 (+2.8 percent)

2-day: $144.99 (unchanged)

3-day: $149.99 to $154.99 (+3.3 percent)

4-day: $154.99 to $159.99 (+3.2 percent)

*Prices are for tickets purchased at the gate. Online prices are generally $10 cheaper per ticket

Also, for people who were considering that Dreams Unlimited $109 offer with free transportation you had better contact them to see if that offer ends with this price increase.

Sounds like my decision to get an AP this year was just made for me. :thumbsup2

All AP prices are staying the same.

Glad this WDW-trained girl already bought them for next summer as well!

That's my point. It was a close decision to begin with for me financially because the price difference between the ticket I was looking at and parking costs wasn't that much from the AP pass which included parking. With Tickets going up, it makes the AP THAT much better of a deal, so no reason to fret anymore on the choice.

Ohhhhh... how Im gonna miss the 2-park 7-day unlimited 99 dollar tickets!!!
I still got mine for my September trip but am doomed for my 2011 trip. :sad2:

Another reason to be thankful for the Dis boards! I was able to buy the discounted tickets that Kroger had back in January, my family of 3 gets 7 full days for less than $300! -never would've happened without the info and posters here.:thumbsup2

So glad I got the Mapleleaf tickets a few weeks ago, although I wish I had known we were going back at the beginning of the year. Would have saved $90.

I'm so glad I got my $99 2-park 7-day unlimited tickets from AAA back in December, just before they jacked-up the prices. And now they're raising the ticket prices again. I only wish I bought another bunch of tickets at $99 each for a future US-IOA trip.
