Just had a quick question about US. I'm trying to figure out the interactive map online...When you first walk into the park, can you take a right and walk towards the Terminator area? Or do you have to walk straight up a bit further and go around?

You can take a right at the Boulangerie. The Lucy Tribute is across the street from the Boulangerie -- you go between there.

You can also go up a bit further and turn right after the Shrek Ride but then you end up missing the Terminator area and come out at Mel's Diner and the Horror Make-Up show.

Although the rides are marked very clearly on that interactive map, the pedestrian routes are tough to find and quite confusing.

You can also take a right before that. When you go through the turnstiles, go toward locker rental/first aid/lost and found. You cut through the restroom walkway. You will come out on the side of Boulangerie next to the smoking area. Take a right on the sidewalk and you end up right near Terminator. It is definitely faster that way since everyone else at the turnstiles are headed down the street rather than the cut-through area. I always cut through the lockers or the restrooms. (If you take a right through the lockers you end up in the smoking area near the sidewalk.)

The lockers are right by the restroom so you can either cut through the restroom and take a right or take a right at the lockers and go straight.

And you might as well use the restroom while you are there.

Is there a map that does show pedestrian routes better? I have never been to US or IOA and I'm trying to plan my trip in November. I haven't been able to find any maps online that show the layout well and the maps in the brochure I was sent are not much better.

I have never had any issues with finding good maps of Disney so this is starting to frustrate me a bit.

Go to www.googlemaps.com

If you use the pedestrian view (drag the little man right onto the map), you walk virtually through most of the parks looking all around and you can also use the normal aerial view.
