Universal Planning Counselor

Hi-
We are scheduled to visit Universal 12/24 - 12/26, and are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel. I just got an unsolicited mailing from Universal offering the services of a "Universal Orlando Vacation Planning Counselor". The letter says that my counselor will:
- assist us in planning our vacation before we even leave home
- offer options to customize our vacation experience
- take care of as many of our travel needs as possible
- provide us with inside tips to help us get the most out of our vacation
- arrange exclusive privlages and opportunites for our family
The letter goes on to provide a name and email address of our "Counselor". I was wondering if this was a standard letter that all guest get, and if the Counselor was bascially going to do a sales job and try to sell us private park tours for example. Is this something other folks have received? Did you find the services useful?

Never heard of that. I don't know of any one affliated with Univ. studios that does that.

It sounds like what they do over in Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations.

We're heading down this Friday and our vacation was booked through Universal Vacations. We have not received anything like this. This is our 3 trip to Universal and we've never received that. I'd be interested to find out what it is.

Never heard of this--and we are going to HRH for the 4th time on Sunday! We did receive a welcome e-mail from the hotel confirming our reservation and rate, but nothing like this. Did not receive anything like it for our trips to RPR either.
