I'd normally check my Unofficial Guide for the answers to this but DH gave my copy to a co-worker so I don't have it as reference!

My organizations convention will be at the Orlando Convention Center next fall, which I undestand is not far from the Universal parks. I've been wanting to go to Wizarding World since it opened, and this seems like a great oprotunity.

I'm thinking of having my DH and DD along for the trip, our DD will be about 1 1/2 years old at that time. Obviously the big rides are out, but are there smaller rides she can go on, or shows geared towards young children?

I've only been to IOA once and that was back in '03, I don't recall much for very little kids but I was with my brother and we were focused on the big rides!

Any advice for a family with a very young child would be appreciated. Just trying to get a feel on if it's worth the cost of admision.

I'm sure she would love the Cat in the Hat, the carousel (Seuss style!) One fish Two fish, the water play area, really Seuss Landing is geared for little ones, even those too young to ride anything else in the park.

Also she may enjoy walking around in the Jurassic Park Discovery Center. It's nice and cool, and easy to explore (especially for one parent, if the other wants a little extra time alone in Hogsmead :goodvibes).

My son was 2 the last time we were there, so things may have changed, but he loved it.

I don't remember the name of the kiddie splash area, but he loved it. Also loved the Woody Woodpecker coaster, Barney (do kids still know Barney?), and that dinosaur ride that is high in the air - that one gave me a heart attack, but he loved it.

Thank you everyone! We are still in the early planning stages and I just wanted to know if we should eliminate US/IOA as an option. We'll keep it in mind. We may just do WDW after my convention, or DH and DD may just stay home, we weren't planning on taking her to theme parks until she was older, we are only considering now due to the conference.
