Can you do both parks in one day? We have 9 in our group (well actually 7) I don't think my Mom and Friend will want to go), 2-17 year olds, 2-11 year olds, and 3 adults. We will be at Disney Sept 16-22nd. What is a good day to go? What is a good way to get there? Taxi (our group is big so maybe we would have to take 2) or driving service? Is it better to go on weekdays instead of a weekend?

In a word...No...you can not do both parks in a single day with a group that size. Despite the fact September is usually slow, it's not that slow and there are too many things to do and see to try and rush. If you can go during the week the crowds should be very light as opposed to the weekends.

The best way for your group to get from Disney to Universal is probably Mears. They offer round trip service to all the local theme parks with a 24 hour advanced reservations. You can check out the website for more information:

I agree, there's no way you're going to get through both parks in one day. We were there in August 2007 with a group of 9. The best thing to do is to plan to be at the turnstiles for park opening. I would make a list of the "must do" things and start there. Once you have all the "must do" things done if you have time you can start filling in with anything you haven't done.

Check out the interactive maps to get an idea of what to do/see.

Just to give you an idea we were there last week and the crowds were really light. We stayed on-site so we had Express Pass access (we didn't wait in line for anything). Our trip was 6 days/5 nights and we spent one day at WDW. I still feel like I could have used at least one more, preferably two more, days.

You can rush through all the IOA and USO major rides and attractions in a long day but you will most likely not enjoy it as much as really doing one park. With FOTL it is easier but not much fun running from one thing to the next without a chance to enjoy the theming.

Well to be honest, I was thinking about getting the tickets for 7 days for the two parks and we could go one day and then decide to go back another during our stay. I have to check and see if they are still running that special. Thanks for the info. I gotta work my schedule something fierce! Thanks again!

That's crazy - we've done 2 parks in 1 day...twice....and not missed a thing....

That's DH, Me, DS16, DD 15, DD 14 (at last trip) and we've been twice and not missed a thing we would want to do...

WoW!
