Sorry, small town girl question I guess, but would you say that the universal studios parking lot is fairly safe? I am a bit worried about a car break in as we may end up there with all our luggage (family of five) stored in the vehicle for the day.

I have the same question about parking at the Warner brothers tour if anyone knows?

It is never safe to leave anything of value in any car in southern California. If you must keep stuff in your car, you need to cover it with blankets/towels, etc. People will break into your car if they see change in your ash tray.

Universal parking lots are no safer or less safe than Disneylands.

Universal parking, other than the preferred lots, is inside massive parking structures and there are a ton of security cameras.

As the poster above you said, if you have anything of value, make sure its out of sight.

The WB parking is just a very small surface lot. I's located directly across from the tour reception building. It's as safe as any lot I suppose and there is an attendant.

About the same as Disney's Mickey and Friends lot. Large garages with security scattered around. You can pay extra for the preferred lot which is open air up close to the gate. Few people walking thru that area to get to the park.
