We're going for the first time Apr 30 & May 1. I just looked up the park hours for those two nights and it shows they are only open til 8PM.

Is it just me or doesn't that seem a little bit early? I was thinking a Sat night would be open til at least 10PM.

Thats common, I'm not surprised at all.

Anyway, if you get to each park at opening, you should be done before the closing time of 8pm (Also April 30th is the final night of Mardi Gras with Hootie and the Blowfish performing, so even though the rides close at 8, the band should be performing until around 10.)

Thanks for the info.

Is Hootie playing inside the theme park or at city walk? Is there an additional cost to se him?

The concerts for Mardi Gras are held inside the park in the area between Jimmy Neutron and Twister (it's to the left side as you're walking up the main drag). There is no additional charge for the concert. I would go to IOA first and then make your way over to the studios and hang out the rest of the evening. I've been to a couple of the concerts and had a good time. :teeth:

On most nights, the Universal parks close at 6 or 7. 8 is late for them.
