Epic Universe starts construction again. Construction was stopped a year ago because of the pandemic.
Seaworld is going to really struggle, most people use that as a filler day for a week long vaca.
LEGOLAND is working on their next gate in addition to universal.
Disney has four parks and two water parks in Orlando, this will bring Universal to three parks and one water park. In what world does that put Disney behind? And as usual Disney once again falls behind in the them park races
Legoland's next gate is going to be tiny. I don't think it compares to any of the other Orlando area parks.Seaworld is going to really struggle, most people use that as a filler day for a week long vaca.

I do believe it will compare.Legoland's next gate is going to be tiny. I don't think it compares to any of the other Orlando area parks.
I do believe it will compare.
A long weekend at an all inclusive package (since they have resorts and dining plans) at LEGOLAND in a few years time will be significantly cheaper than Disney World. Three parks for three days and a ton of perks will look appetizing in a side by side comparison
Merlin claims to be the second largest international theme park chain (behind only Disney) and if the last 10 years of building LEGOLAND Orlando predict the builds for the next 10 years, LEGOLAND would be a major player for families with younger kids.
in my mind disney always wins, but it would be foolish not to play the devils advocate. LEGOLAND is pumping out a lot of movies and getting kid’s really addicted from 2+ years of age. With the right marketing team and some time, they would be an incredible power house.
What legoland is building is a tiny little peppa pig park, I don't think it will compare at all. Legoland is awesome for ages 3-12. Peppa pig is gonna be mainly the 2-6 crowd for the most part. Its really not going to be something people spend days at. Now I think its great for locals for something to do with thier little kids.
I hope soon Legoland actually does another main expansion in its main park personally and add more to its water park,
I agree. The current newly announced gate is tiny. But they’ve been adding something every 18 months or so- if that holds true- they will be a major competitor for families in the future.
If that doesn’t hold true... well then Disney holds its title with no competition for the littles.
Personally I’d like a little competition, it always breeds well for the consumers!

Disney still has available land. Universal has Epic. I don't see either buying SW, at other then a fire sale.I think the battle for Sea World will begin soon. Whoever gets it, Disney/Universal moves one step closer into the other's territory. Sea World is like a buffer state in the theme park balance of power.
Disney has plenty of new lands in that time. Universal has to build a new park because their current parks are basically full short of tearing areas down and rebuilding. Disney still has space in their parks for expansion. The fresh factor. Universal will have the last 3 major new gates in Orlando, save Legoland.

Not sure about Seaworld though it brings in a different group of orlando tourists on a Venn diagram there is some overlap with Disney/Universal but not as much as one would think, but they are still reeling from the bungled response to ‘Blackfish’ which conveniently left out the fact that SeaWorld is one of the worlds largest and most active marine anImal rescue organizations and those orca shows helped fund that activity. But corporate weasels are the same everywhere.... a yellow stripe a mile wide
Also the bus tours tend to visit SeaWorld as well because of its size

3 major new gates vs new lands, no comparison. Having expansion plots is great....theyve had those same plots for decades. Disney is content to be more of a museum.
