Universal Orlando 2011 book

Just wanted to post that IMO this is a GREAT book for planning a trip to Universal. Especially for those of us that have not been in a number of years.

Just putting my 2 cents in. (BUT if its also "a penny for your thoughts" where does the extra penny go?) :goodvibes

No.

But it's a really good book with TONS of information.

Actually, the book does have touring plans. There are two for each park, one for adults and one for kids. But the touring plans are brief and to the point.

For one thing, Universal isn't Disney and you don't have to plan a day there like a military campaign.

Also, Seth (he's the co-author) and I really advise against the one-day blitz that so many folks seem to do at WDW. We show ticket options that can bring the per-day cost of a day at the park to around $20.

So there's no need to kill yourself.

BTW, the current best offer on the book is here:

Hmm. Musta skipped 'em. Weird, since I have post-its stuck all over the place in the book and notes etc, but I figure you'd know! :)

I just got my copy of the book (ordered through my local independent bookstore)!

I love it!

I'm really impressed with how clearly everything is laid out. I thought I knew pretty much everything I needed to know about UO from hanging out on this board, but there's a lot described in the guide that I had no clue about. I think this is really going to enhance our enjoyment of our trip.

Magpie, can you share what it cost to ship to Canada?

Well, I was close. ;)

The shipping people tell me that we ship it First Class International Package and that the rate is $5.01. (That might vary from province to province, I'm not sure.)

Thanks Kelly. I've found it listed on Amazon Canada for basically the same price ($11.64 CDN) and free shipping ... but it's not yet released. Do you know when the title will be available for distribution? They've noted November 16.

Should be sooner than that, but I have no way of knowing.

Purchased it today - we'll see how long it takes to get released through amazon canada. :thumbsup2

Ooo, travel books. Cool. :-) Thanks, I just ordered the Universal one and the Seaworld one. (Cost $10 and change to ship two books to Canada, for AMW.) :woohoo:

Received my copy from Amazon Canada yesterday!:woohoo: Just wanted to let everyone know the copies were now going out by other means too. Now just need to find a few hours to myself ...
