We are going to Disney for free dining in Sept 20 - 28th. I've only been to Disney twice in the last year and I've never been to Universal. I have a lot of questions I'm hoping someone can answer:

1.) What day of the week would be best to go in that timeframe?

2.) We will not have a car, can we take a bus? What time? Where to catch it, etc.?

3.) Would a base ticket be OK or what is the FOTL passes, etc.?

4.) Would 1 day be enough or should we just wait until we could make a trip out of it?

TIA!

During the week period was slow when we were there. You shouldn't have a problem since it is not a Holiday.

2.) We will not have a car, can we take a bus? What time? Where to catch it, etc.? Sorry, don't know but others will;)

3.) Would a base ticket be OK or what is the FOTL passes, etc.?
FOTL passes are extra and others can tell you better but you probably won't really need them that time of year....

4.) Would 1 day be enough or should we just wait until we could make a trip out of it? You can do one day if you are not big thrill riders but it will still be a cram packed day. I would recommend more than one day.
I'm sure others will have better more detailed answers but I know I am always ready for some kind of answer.:lmao:

1) the best days since school is in would be mon - fri
2) to take a bus from disney would be time consuming and I would suggest using one of the shuttle severvices like mears and it will cost about 12.00 or more per person round trip
3) base ticket would be ok but if you want to do both parks then you would need 1 day 2park ticket and the fotl passes are for the people that stay onsite at the Universal hotels but you can get express passes that are only good for 1 use per ride
4) 1 day can be enough but I would suggest two so that you won't have to rush through and can take in all the great themeing Universal has.
Hope this helps :thumbsup2

1.) Anytime during the week is good especially that time of year. The crowds should be light until that weekend. If tradition holds, HHN starts 9/26 which is the AP holder's weekend. Other than that, you should be fine.

2.) As Lawrence posted, check with Mears for the fares from Disney to Universal. You would need to make arrangements 24 hours in advance.

3.) The base ticket should be fine considering the time of year you're going.

4.) I would strongly recommend two days so you won't have to rush through anything. Remember...this is NOT Disney so you don't have to plan everything in advance. Universal is what a vacation is supposed to be...relaxing!

If you have other questions, fire away!

Relaxing? not if you are screaming to death in the mummy LOL :rotfl2:

I am going in September I assume you will be fine because its in the weekday.

tip: the regular price for an adult is 71 per person each park........consider buying the limited offer of $79.99 both parks each person. its cheaper that way if you decide islands and universal.

Thank you all for the responses! I need to start reading about Universal. We might wait until next year & do Universal & Sea World and skip Disney. I do not want to rush through everything in a day.
