Hello, I have been to WDW several times and done the dining plan. We are planning a trip to Universal for first time and am not sure how the meal ticket works. We will be spending one day Univeral and one day IOA. Is the meal ticket worth it? We would like to eat at the City walk restaurants a couple times, but it does not seem like these restaurants are included. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

CityWalk restaurants are not included in the park meal deal. The meal deal is usually only good if you like fast food type meals and eat A LOT to make it worthwhile.

Like Metro said you would have to eat alot for it to be worth it and I have a family of 4 and found it just as cheap to eat whenever we wanted without the meal deal and your not limited to what you want to eat and a big turn off to the meal deal is they don't include citywalk

i pick one day of my stay and buy the meal deal for the studios side.
to make it worth it for me, i eat at 11:00 when the places open.

then do lunch at 3. pick something up at 4:30 when the parks close early and take it back to my room with me.

if the parks are open later, i would buy my stuff at louies and take it with me when i leave.

the food places always close 30 minutes before park closing.

you have to look at the menus and see if that is the type of food you would want to eat.

i love the sandwiches and especially the salads and pizza at louies.
when i pay cash, i always get the salad w/ pizza deal and an extra slice of pizza.
i enjoy IFFF also for about 3 of their plated foods.
the fruit salad i really like, the chinese and the fried chicken dinner.

if the park has shortened hours and you don't like the menus, then it would be best not to buy the meal deal.
