Hi all,

I will be visiting Universal Studios at the end of May with my 13 year old DD. We have never been there before. Your thought please. Should we just do one park each day, or do we need the Hopper. Also, is the meal deal a value? We will most likely eat breakfast at the hotel before we go. We are not huge eaters, but will probably want lunch and dinner and will most likely stay the whole day. Thank you for your thoughts.

I wouldn't do it. The meal plan isn't that great and features only three restaurants at each park. There are much better places to try that are not on the meal deal. I would suggest Mythos and Thunder Falls Terrace at IOA and Louie's or Finnegan's at the Studios. Louie's is the only one of those that is included in the meal deal. For dinner, I would suggest CityWalk...Margaritaville to be precise.

Agree with pp, the meal deal is only good if you enjoy fast food all day. We like Thunder Falls Terrace at IOA, Richter Burger and Finnegans at US and Margaritaville at City Walk. As for the passes to go to both parks that is up to how much you want to do each day and if you are staying on-site or off-site. We stay on-site and get the two park/day passes since you can see a lot more with the unlimited express lines that your room key gives you. We go to one park for most of the day, go back to the Hard Rock for a swim, and then after dinner to to the other park.

We will be staying at Pop Century at Disney World. I figured since we have not been there before, we would do one park each day. Thanks for the food info. Do you need to make advanced meal reservations or just walk up. We will most likely go during the week. Will be at WDW for 12 days. Thanks.

You can usually walk up...you might have to wait but it's not usually a long wait.

We were just there. I found the meal deal awful. In fact we had purchased it for two days and never used the second day. We had city walk meal included and went to Pat O'brian's. You have a very limited choice and the food was bad.
