Is this a good deal? It doesn't seem like a bad deal, especially if it is all you can eat. The only catch I can see is that the selection of food is limited...is there anything I'm missing? I would be willing to pay $24.99 to eat as much as I want at both parks, plus dinner at CityWalk!

We were just there. There were signs everywhere advertising the free meal deal. However, it seems that you can't eat at every restaurant--only certain ones.

I can say I don't eat enough food to make the meal deal worth it for me.

The only way to say for certain if it is a good deal is to compare the price to how much you would spend during a day on food at the parks. There are only three locations you can eat at in each park plus you can only pick something off of a special limited menu at the citywalk restaurants.

I believe you have to eat 3 times during the day before your saving money (twice in the parks and the citywalk meal).

Do they have a list of places you can eat at with the meal deal out yet?

The information is available by clicking ticket details when your on the Universal ticket store page that deals with the meal deal tickets. Most of this is just being copied and pasted from that page...

We decided not to purchase the meal deal because the restauranct selection is very limited. Hopefully Universal will add more restaurants to the list soon!

They wont add any new selections, as all of these places are your basic counter service resturaunts. They wouldnt add their more expensive resturants to it.

It seems to have a pretty big selection of food from Hamburgers, to pizza and fried chicken....how much more do you want?

On the meal deal, this is a sample of the CS food my sisters, my son and I ate in the course of our stay (lol, there were 4 of us, it's not just all what I ate!)

CS Foods we ate:
Pizza
Spaghetti and meatballs
Grilled chicken ceasar salad
Plain ceasar salad w/soup
Fried chicken with mashed potatoes and buttered corn on the cob
Beef and broccoli with fried rice
Orange chicken with an egg roll
Chef's salad with turkey, ham and cheese
A fresh fruit plate (oranges, pineapple, watermelon, honeydew, cantaloup, strawberry and grapes)
Rotisserie chicken with roasted potatoes and veggies
Pasta primavera with zuccini(sp?)
Grilled chicken sandwich with honey mustard and fries
Double cheesebuger with fries
Kids cheeseburger with grapes

...if that's not enough of a selection....:confused3 And that's not including the stuff we didn't eat that was offered!

And for the CityWalk we had:
Grilled chicken salad
Chicken fajitas
Fresh BBQ and cheddar burger with spicy fries
Grilled chicken sandwich
Half a roasted chicken with rice and beans

It's not a great deal for everyone. But for many it is.

I guess it doesnt work well for us because we arent big on counter service. I would prefer they raised the price and included more of the sit down restaurants, but thats just me.

We have tried it once and it does not work well for us. If one prefers quantity over quality than it may work for him/her. Portions were atrocious (enormous), however, the quality was typical for over the counter service. I guess it really depends on what you are looking for…. When we are on vacation, we certainly like to treat ourselves to finer meals. I prefer smaller portions but better and more delectable cuisine. Everyone’s different and I find it hard to rely on other patrons’ opinions: for someone, a buffet is a good deal because it’s “a lot”, for others – higher prices and better/more choices is a better deal, plus people that are in between… You’ll see people that liked Meal Deal and those that did not – you’ll just have to try it out for yourself and then decide whether you’ll do it again. IMHO.

I've thought about this package, but it seems like 15 dollars is a better amount for it. I normally eat twice a day at a theme park.
