Universal Meal Deal

The refillable mugs (that you pay around $1.50 for refills) are good at both parks. When you purchase them, they come with the first drink free.

The sipper cups are for the mealdeals. Those cups are for free refills only at the counter service restaurants that offer the meal deal. If you use it at non-participating meal deal restaurant, you will pay $1.50 for refills. If you have the two park meal deal, the drinks will be free in both parks at the participating meal deal restaurants. If you have a one park meal deal, it will only be good at one park. You must have the wristband for that day to get free refills.

To complicate matters, you can use your sippercups on days that you don't purchase the meal deal but you will pay for refills. So say you have a meal deal on Monday and purchase the sipper cup. The rest of the week, you decide not to purchase the meal deal. So for the rest of the trip you can pay around $1.50 for refills with your sipper cups.

no you don't have to by one for everyone in your party, but you don't get to share either. So your Husband didn't eat, or did he buy his meals separately?

SETTLE DOWN ITS ONLY A MEAL PEOPLE SHARE ALL THE TIME, DONT WORRY BE HAPPY.:) :cool1: :rotfl2:   :yay:

The meal deal has restrictions and one of them is that sharing of meals is not permitted. If you purchase a regular meal and not a meal deal, you can share all you wish.

Can anyone tell me what the dessert choices at the Universal restaurants? Do you get an entree and side?

Thank you!
m

dessert- a small dry cake. Choice of Chocolate or vanilla (or it might have been lemon)
Yes you get entree and sdies. I guess actually they are called combos or something like that.

can you deal me on the mastercard deal - do you have to pick which park you want to eat at or is it good at both parks? It is a bit unclear when it lists the restaurants.

Thanks
Leslie

It is a one park meal deal. You can choose which park you want to use it at. Whichever park you eat at first is the one you have to continue eating at.

So, you could buy two "sets" of passes for the group, and use one day for IOA and the other for US. Right?

Yes I read that. However last year I saw TONS of people sharing with their kids. Both parents had bought the meal deal and shared it with their kids. It is hard for me to even buy my daughter anything to eat there because the portions are HUGE. She eats like 1 chicken nugget and maybe 5 french fries. We still bought her her own meal deal so she can snack if she wants.

I agree that there will always be people who try to circumvent the system. I see it everyday when I am driving the speed limit on the road and others are passing me. Just like on the highways, some will be caught and others will get away with it. The rule is no sharing and if the person is sharing, they may be caught.

we went to USF last week & purchased the 2 park meal deals (9 adults ,, but that included 2 10 yr olds having to buy adult passes.). it was WAY worth it! There wasn't a line at the gates yet ,when we arrived, so we went through customer service at front of park .B ut you could also buy them when you first get your meal. you get the wrist bands at the restaurants.

the 1st meal "I" chose was chicken dinner ( regularly $8.99) & that included dessert (not sure what that added). the dessets were cookies, a choc cake & lemon cake. (the SAME desserts all over the parks). Also went back throught the line for fruit plate which was huge!
it was really great not having to look at pricing!
each time we passed one of the places to eat from we went through the line for cookies! great snack for later on. ( i had an ECV which also served as our pack mule :upsidedow )
we had dinner at Pat O'Briens . meals ranged from about $9 to $14 (jambalaya) , so the pass was very worth while. OUr server wasn't really that great at Pat O'briens , we had to wait a considerable amount of time till she brought us the correct menu's,, plus some incorrect orders, , resulting in our extra drink bill being comp'd.:)
oh, also the citiwalk meal deal restaurants give you the refills on the meal drink cup!
& remember the meal deals end IN the park 1/2 hour before the parks close!

I agree that they will be caught, but really what do you think that Universal will do? I know it is wrong and I personally wouldnt do it, however I dont think Universal will have a lot that they could really do about it.

They will burn you at the stake.:furious:
