You will enjoy this one!!!!

YOUR AGE BY UNIVERSAL MATH

This is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute .
Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a month that you would like to go to Universal.
(more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755 ....
If you haven't, add 1754.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to go to US/IOA a month).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2005) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

my first digit isn't coming out as my original # of times I wants to go :confused3 then again, i suck at math! :teeth:

My numbers came out correctly. I'll share with my kids and friends, we can do this during our roadtrip to Orlando. Very cool thanks for sharing.

Well I'll be a monkeys uncle! Dontcha just luv math? :teacher:

Mine worked. DS did something similar in math class and said theres a trick to it. If you change one of the numbers it will work next year. I still haven't figured out what the trick is.

Increasing the numbers in step 5 by one will make it work next year.

How does it work? If you follow the algebra through step by step, it's pretty easy to see.

Also, it won't work for someone who's over 99 years old. (Not exactly the USF/IOA target audience!)
