Universal just raised prices today (6/20/11)

Nothing new here and not surprising since Disney did it last week.

It happens all the time.

like i said,,,the race is on ( for the next increase next year,or sooner?)

Florida resident tickets and all AP's did not change.:thumbsup2

I wonder what this means for the 3-day park hopper tickets that Costco sells for about $140, if memory serves. I suppose those will be going up as well.

Not surprised, they were always gonna try cash in even more on the success of WWoHP

I just looked at the website to compare what the new price of the 7 day park-to-park ticket is compared to what I spent a few days ago. I can't find the 7 day tickets on the website???? What is up with that?

it is wonderful that UO is given preference to floridians.
there one day tickets (and others) are untouched with the increase.

the AP's had their increase march 1st.
they too are untouched with the new increase.

i knew this was coming.
once one company increases passes/tickets, all others follow.
just how it is.

i'll still be going.

any ticket or passes bought prior to the increase will be valid.
you don't pay any increase at the gate.

buy more of the costco tickets if you can and hold them for the future.

the 7 day pass i think is listed in the disney pod forum.
i glanced at it but i could be wrong.

Per the article...

As part of the price changes, Universal eliminated a seven-day ticket option. Instead, the resort will sell a 14-day pass offering unlimited admission to both of the resort's theme parks — Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure — as well as the Wet 'n Wild water park on International Drive, which is also owned by NBCUniversal. The gate price for the two-week ticket is $194.99.

Even more reason to buy an Annual Pass:)

Now my previous "benefit" dollars will now increase. Sure my benefit really isn't greater but whatever helps me sleep at night. :rotfl:

What terrible timing. I decided to wait to buy our tickets at the gate using our aph discount for the 3 additional 7 day tickets we need. Of course we are now on our way down to FL and am now panicking because I have no idea how much our tickets are going to cost. I am thinking of finding a AAA office on our way down and hoping they have the 7 day tickets still in stock.

price increase not a surprise, but I am disappointed in elimination of 7-day. 7 was perfect for us. We don't need a 14-day (does anyone?) and have no interest in Wet 'n Wild. Guess we'll reduce our visits to 3 or 4 days and allow time to add in Sea World.

How much did the 7 day ticket cost?
