SpideyHulk should be able to help out too
I've seen the Barney show...after my mom told me to, and lost a bet with gbluvr2886 (well, not a "bet"...but didn't do something...so it was like my "punishment" LOL). I guess if I liked Barney I'd enjoy it...but I'm 16, so.....yeah....and the preshow..Eeeeek. LOL The kids seemed to enjoy it though.
KidZone is huge with so much to do! I haven't seen it all, but I'm sure some of the parents on here can describe the area.
ET is a great ride. Put the children towards the left side...you fly over the city and can only really see it from the left side. It's the best part of the ET ride too.
Ghostbusters and Animal Planet Live are two appropriate shows. Kids may not get anything out of the GB Show at that young age, but I've seen older kids who liked the show. Animal Planet Live is a cute show though.
I've seen parents who took young kids to Horror Makeup Show and Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue. Both of these shows have a PG-13 rating, and for good reason. Neither show is really scary (though I did see a boy cry at the Horror Makeup Show before...but most kids fend well), but some of the jokes and comments said are a bit on the suggestive side...though at that young age, you're kids will not even notice them. There are pyrotechnics and loud noises at the Graaveyard Revue, FYI.
Jimmy Nuetron and Shrek 4-D are fun rides for kids, and they do have a Nick tour...though Slimetime Live isn't being taped right now.
IOA has some great play areas throughout the park. If I Ran the Zoo in Seuss Landing is a great water Play area. I had fun here and spent a long time entertaining myself there...and I was in 6th grade at the time!

Kids of all ages like it.
There's also a play area in Jurassic Park area which is pretty big.
Don't forget to get your kids talking to the Mystic Fountain!
