Hi everyone,

We have a split stay in September and we know it's going to be low crowds at WDW. I am wondering if we will need the EP for US/IOA. We aren't familiar with the parks and trying to figure it out now. We are not, so to speak, staying at a US/IOA resort. We're staying at PORS. Wondering if we need to book a throw away night just to get early entry and EP. Also, I noticed the hours aren't up yet. Any idea as to when the parks close in mid-September? I made our ADRs and now I think for our two days at US/IOA, they may be too late.

Thanks for any info...

It will be lower crowds, but with the opening of the Harry Potter expansion this summer, it will not be as low as previous years have been. For us we would NEVER stay offsite. The perks at a Universal resort far outweigh those at a Disney resort.Early entry will help at the Harry Potter stuff and express pass is still fantastic ( and spoils you) even in low crowds.Park hours arent out yet , September hours vary...IF Halloween Horror nights are going on , the studios park will close at 5pm for day guests.Rumor has HHN starting on Sept 19th this year If it isnt it may close anywhere from 6p-830p .IOA closes anywhere between 6p and 7pm and both parks generally open at 9am (( early entry for resort guests for harry Potter at IOA would be 8am)
