Just checked the website and noticed hours are posted now through August 2010 in case anyone's wondering. :cool1:

The park hours suddenly extend until 10 pm from March 26 through April 10...not spring break time yet surely? wonder what that means?? :woohoo:

That is the week before and after Easter. The week of April 4th is spring break for most of GA.

Ha ha, ok. Our spring break is in mid-April not the end of March. Was hoping it meant the wizarding world would be opening.

Thanks! Been waiting for August hours. Looks like they are only open till 7 when we are going but if I change our dates it cost more...guess I'll keep them and just hit the pool at night.

Thanks for posting! I'm about to go and check it out!

Hmm.. Islands has much later closings than Universal. Guess they're expecting a lot more crowds on the HP side.

But obviously, USF is going to see its crowds too. They should consider upping them.

Thanks for the heads up, btw!

If I find something interesting, I always like to share the info. I was just hoping for the May hours and was impressed to see it was open all the way to August. Probably a prelude to bookings for HP... ;)

The hours are interesting, although it's a lot easier and more customer friendly to extend the hours rather than shrink them. It's quite possible they will extend the hours more if HP gets crazy.

Speaking of May hours...
The week I'm going US is 9-6 everyday and IOA is 9-7 everyday EXCEPT:
Fri 5/6: 9-6
Sat 5/7: 9-10

Why close early on a Friday? Special event?
I assume Saturday is to make up for Friday?

If you were going on these days, would you avoid IOA on Saturday thinking most of the crowds will be there? (Of course we may go there after US closes.) We are staying onsite so at least we'll have express pass.

I'm thinking US on Saturday and IOA on Sunday before we go to WDW Sunday night. :confused3

Sometimes we do both parks in one day. Depending upon your pass, if you do US on Saturday and it closes early then go on over to IOA til it closes since you will have the hotel express. Don't expect to do too many rides, but you might be able to get on your favorites before the park closes. Then do IOA again on Sunday before you leave. :thumbsup2

Well, I'm a little bummed that the parks are only open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the time we will be there...but on the other hand, it will make it more conducive to doing other things, or even relaxing around the resort (what a concept!)

Hoping for a Club Level rate that will be affordable...:upsidedow

There is probably a special event that Friday night.

Weekends in May are Grad Nights. Expect the parks to be somewhat quiet in the morning and fill up during the afternoon. There will be TONS of security about.

Surprised about Saturday, normally Grad Nights and both Friday and Saturday.

so how about the 8am opening on April 23 and 24th? I know they're grad bash nights, but looking back to last year, I don't see an early opening on grad bash nights. Actually, this seems to be the only 8am opening I see all year..... interesting?:wizard:

I'm wondering if they will open HP this spring even though the major ride is not completed yet? It's not just one ride, it's an entire area of the park that's involved. That would be okay with me. Dragons and Flight of the Hippogriff are actually just getting revamped not being made from scratch and the rest of the village are basically stores/restaurants - structures that I'm sure can be completed in the next few months (those pictures are awesome!). I think an announcement is coming soon and I bet it will be open the end of April/early May.

I can only hope...
