If you stay in a Universal Hotel do you still have to buy a park ticket? I know the answer is probably yes, as I presume its the same as Disney, but just wanted to check.

Also - do you think 1 night would be enough? We weren't really planning on doing Universal next time but i really fancy the look of the new Harry Potter area, but as we are already paying a FORTUNE for our LBV hotel I really dont want to pay much more.

Thanks guys

You usually have to buy park tickets unless you have bought a stay and play package. I haven't stayed since HP opened so not sure what front of line access you get there but around the other 2 parks its great you can do them in a flash. We stayed 3 nights and absolutely loved Hard Rock Hotel, it was just so nice to be able to miss the queues and breeze back to the hotel for a leisurely lounge around the pool.

Yes...you still have to buy park tickets if you stay onsite. One night will get you two days of unlimited Express access although the WWoHP will not be included. Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippograff will be once through the line and The Forbidden Journey will not accept Express...at least that's the story this week. It could change.

Are you talking about next Sept Katie? Do you really need to stay onsite if you already have a good room at LBV. I can't see you needing Front of line in Sept, we go often in August and although busy early August the last week is really quiet.

Thanks for this.

I knew I could rely on you Wayne for some common sense advice! :worship:
No - we really dont need to stay onsite - just running through some (expensive) options like us girlies do :rolleyes1

It is for next Sept so I suppose the WWoHP might have calmed down a bit by then. We scooted round Universal last time so it would be the only thing we would be going for. Just have to decide if a one day ticket would be worth it just for 1 attraction :confused3

I suppose we'll wait until people have been there and done it!

Sorry to hijack slightly :flower3:

But when you say last week in August is quiet, how quiet is your quiet Wayne. I know your an October fan like us, would you say it was October quiet ?

I would wait until nearer the time and see what the crowds are like, by then it will have been open for over a year and a quiet month to go.

We have never needed front of line access late August, most rides walk on, but who knows this year with HP opening, We have booked 3 nights at RPR for Early August but will probably go back end August just before we come home on the 29th to see if its any quieter.
